Leonardo da Vinci
Without the past, no modern technology or advanced thinking could be possible. Important discoveries and innovations had to be made long ago in order for the human race to be where it is now. One of the most important of these times of change was during the Renaissance period. So many things were happening; so many changes and new ideas were being put into motion. It was a time where true genius could develop and flourish.
In the year 1452, on April 15, a child is born; the illegitimate son of a wealthy Florentine notary and a peasant girl: Leonardo da Vinci. Leonardo would grow up to one of the greatest minds of his time; maybe even of all time, and he didn’t even have a proper education. Da Vinci made great progress in the field of art, creating arguably the most famous painting in the world –the Mona Lisa– and explored new methods of painting. He also contributed to the field of science, where he drew some of the most detailed and accurate anatomical sketches of the era. When Leonardo da Vinci was in his prime, the intellectual world saw a period of true revolution, reaction, and reform.
